Job Overview
We are seeking experienced interpreters to join our network as independent contractors (1099) for the following languages:
- Uzbek <> English
- Turkish <> English
This position offers complete flexibility—you can log in and take calls whenever you're available, with no required minimum or maximum hours. Compensation is based on active interpretation minutes.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional consecutive over-the-phone interpretation between Uzbek <> English or Turkish <> English
- Facilitate clear, accurate, and impartial communication across various industries.
- Adhere to industry standards, confidentiality protocols, and ethical interpreting practices.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients and limited-English proficient (LEP) individuals.
Requirements
✅ At least 6 months of professional OPI experience (required)
✅ Knowledge of OPI interpreting protocols and formal training (greetings, confidentiality, turn-taking)
✅ Strong English proficiency (clear pronunciation, grammar, and communication skills)
✅ Reliable equipment:
- Computer (Windows 10 or 11 preferred)
- USB headset (Bluetooth headsets not allowed)
- Stable internet connection
